Scholarships

Scholarships for participants from low- and middle-income countries
Scholarships will be available for participants from low-and middle-income countries to support travel to the upcoming ICSN meeting of the International Cancer Screening Network.The ICSN meeting brings together experts from around the world who are researching, implementating and evaluating cancer screening programs. Most of these individuals have backgrounds in medicine, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or outcomes research.
To qualify, scholarship applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Affiliated with an institution in low- and middle-income countries (per World Bank definition)
  • Conduct research relevant to either cancer screening programs or screening within the context of clinical practice 
  • Be first author on an abstract submitted to the ICSN 2025 meeting
The deadline for scholarship applications is January 2nd, 2025
To apply, please send an email to Douglas Puricelli Perin (douglas.puricelliperin@nih.gov) with the title of your submitted abstract(s), a CV, your address, and two paragraphs totalling 600 words max (first paragraph describing why you want to attend; second paragraph describing what you will do with what you have learned when you return to your program).
We will notify applicants about the decision by February 21st, 2025.
