Visa Requirements for Denmark
Applying for a Short-Term Visa for Scientific Events
If you plan to attend the ICSN 2025 conference in Denmark and are a citizen of a country that requires a visa, it is essential to apply for a visa through a Danish diplomatic mission in a timely manner.
To determine whether you need a visa, please consult the lists of countries with visa requirements and visa-free countries List of Countries with VISA requirement and VISA-free countries, or contact your local consulate for further information.

Invitation Letter from the Host
The Danish Planning Team for ICSN 2025 offers the option to issue an official invitation letter to support your visa application.
Please note that to receive this invitation letter, you must have registered and paid for your participation in the ICSN 2025 conference. Upon request, your registration will be verified, and the invitation letter will subsequently be sent to you via email.
In the event that your visa application is unsuccessful, the Danish Planning Team will refund 100% of the registration fee, provided the request is made before June 1, 2025. After this date, refunds will no longer be possible.

Banks and Currency Exchange
Bank and exchange offices are located in the city centre close to the hotels. The currency of Denmark is the Danish krone. Some shops do accept euros, but we recommend that you exchange to the local currency. Most shops also accept major credit cards.

Insurance
The congress fee does not cover insurance. Participants are responsible for securing their own insurance. It is highly recommended to obtain health and accident insurance in your home country before attending.
Voltage
Electricity in Denmark is 230V AC. Plugs are European standard with two round pins.
