Preconference Workshop Information

The preconference workshops will be held on the 10 June 2026. It is possible to attend up to two workshop. Each workshop is limited to 30 participants.

Early bird: 1 November 2025 - 1 March 2026 is DKK 600 incl. Danish VAT
Regular + late price: 2 March 2026 - 3 June 2026 is DKK 800 incl. Danish VAT

Preconference workshop 1: “How to develop and validate a questionnaire”

By: Peter Vedsted, Medical doctor and professor at the Medical Diagnostic Center, University Clinic for Innovative Patient Pathways, Regional Hospital Central Jutland, and Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University, Denmark.

As a health researcher, Peter has a specific focus on the connection between research and healthcare planning, and the integration between sectors. He teaches and organises postgraduate courses, e.g., on conducting surveys. 

Preconference workshop 2: “Phenomenology as a research method”

By: Annelise Norlyk, nurse and professor

Annelise Norlyk holds pedagogical responsibility for the Master of Science in Nursing, the Advanced Practice Nursing degree programmes, and the Professional Master’s Degree Programme at Aarhus University, Denmark. She is teaching and supervising PhD students in phenomenological research and healthcare transitions.

Preconference workshop 6: "From Bachelor Thesis to Published Article – Empowering Nursing Students through Involvement in Scientific Publishing"

By: Pia Lysdal Veje, nurse and ph.d, and Louise Abildgaard Møller, nurse and ph.d.

Both Pia and Louise have extensive teaching experience from university colleges in Denmark. The purpose of this workshop is to inspire and equip educators and researchers to actively empower and involve nursing students in the scientific publishing process.

At the end of the workshop, the participants can expect to have gained:
• Insight into the value of student involvement in scientific publishing, including its impact on academic identity, evidence-based practice, and career development.
• Concrete examples and inspiration from both educators and students who have successfully navigated the publishing process.
• Opportunities for reflection and dialogue on how publishing can be integrated into nursing education in meaningful and sustainable ways.
• Ideas for how to support and mentor students in transforming bachelor's theses into publishable articles.

Preconference workshop 7: Engaging Stakeholders in Healthcare Research: Why It Matters and How to Do It

By: The COMFORT Research Group

The COMFORT Research Group received in 2023 the Novo Nordic Research Grant for Nursing Research. The research program develops and tests an intervention to support patients and caregivers living with chronic kidney disease. Included in the program is a strong focus on stakeholder engagement. In this workshop, you will be introduced to a wide range of strategies to increase stakeholder engagement and practical advice on best practice.
