Biography
Dr Mirjam Fransen is Associate Professor at the Department of Public and Occupational Health, Amsterdam UMC, and also works as a senior researcher at the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. In her research she strives for accessible and effective health care and prevention for underserved groups. She systematically develops innovative interventions for and with citizens, clients, patients, health care professionals, and policy makers. She thereby specifically focus on diversity in health literacy and ethnicity. Examples are (digital) decision-making support interventions for cancer screening invitees, and health literacy responsive communication training for professionals in (public) health care.

Biography
Pheena Kenny is a Public Health Strategy & Development Manager in the National Screening Service (NSS) in Ireland. Pheena led the development of the Equity Strategic Framework and is leading out on implementing multi-annual action plans relating. Projects include focusing on population groups such as people with disabilities and developing community-based intervention for screening to reach under-screened communities in Ireland. She is also coordinating the EUCanScreen project from a NSS perspective. She has worked in the health sector for over 20 years in the statutory, community and voluntary sectors. Her work interests include screening and health inequalities.

Currently Professor & Head, Dept. of Preventive Oncology at Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, Tata Memorial Centre Mumbai, India. Headed the WHO Collaborating Centre for Cancer Prevention, Screening and Early Detection, WHO CC IND-59 [SEARO], between 2016-2022 and was involved with supporting the WHO’s efforts in building research capacity and generating evidence on cost-effectiveness models for prevention and control of cervical, breast and oral cancers .

Biography
Kerryann Wyatt is an experienced researcher specialising in designing, evaluating, analysing and reporting health campaigns, programs and research. At the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer, she leads behavioural research to inform state and national screening and early detection campaigns, including identifying underscreened groups, understanding audience profiles, barriers, facilitators and information needs, testing key messages and evaluating campaign and program impact. She works closely with program staff to shape and assess strategies to increase cancer screening participation rates in Victoria and nationally. Her contributions are essential to developing evidence-based strategies to improve public health outcomes and early detection of cancer.
