342 - Colorectal cancer risk perceptions: a qualitative study of the screening target population

Biography

Cristina is a third-year PhD student with a master’s in public health, working at the Epidemiology and Evaluation Department of Hospital del Mar and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute in Barcelona, Spain. As a nurse working in colorectal cancer screening, her research focuses on developing communication strategies to support informed decision-making in the context of risk-based screening. She employs qualitative and participatory methodologies to engage the target population, promoting understanding of these strategies within the mental models of risk approach. Through her work in the Screening Program, Cristina aims to bridge research and practice, further promoting evidence-based cancer prevention.
