Biography
Sandra Martinez holds a Biomedical Sciences Degree (2013, UB), a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine (2020, UAB), and Master’s degrees in Clinical Research Applied to Health Sciences (2014, UAB).
In 2020, she joined the Barcelona Metropolitan South Health Region in the Catalan Public Healthcare System (CatSalut) as a Primary and Community Care Manager. In 2023, she transitioned to the role of Hospital Care Manager in the Territorial Deployment Division of CatSalut's healthcare area. In this capacity, she leads the implementation of multidisciplinary projects related to hospital care, including the rollout of Catalonia's new cervical cancer screening protocol.

Dr Ntsieni Mashau is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Her research interests lie in community-based health promotion, focusing on communicable and non-communicable diseases. Prof Mashau supervises postgraduate students' research in this field and is involved in various projects centered on community-based health promotion. She has a strong publication record in accredited peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she has presented papers at national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer of articles for national and international journals.

Biography
Sophie is a final year PhD researcher at University College Dublin Ireland. Sophie is investigating cervical screening awareness among women of low socio-economic position in Ireland to develop supports to promote engagement using an approach called co-design. Sophie's research uses qualitative and participatory methods and a health inequalities and behaviour theory lens. She has an MSc in Population Health from University College London.

Biography
Navkiran Shokar, MD, MPH received a master’s from Cambridge University and medical degree from Oxford University Medical School. She completed family residency training in the UK and US, then continued with a masters in public health. She is Chair of the Department of Population Health at Dell Medical School at UT Austin (Texas, US).
Dr. Shokar’s research focuses on cancer prevention and control, shared decision-making, and addressing health disparities. She has received more than $25 million in funding from state and national agencies to implement research, with an emphasis on providing cancer screening services, education, and outreach to underserved populations.

Dr. Karen Wernli is a Senior Scientific Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute and Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington. She is a cancer epidemiologist and health services researcher whose work focuses on incorporating patient-centered outcomes to improve cancer care along the cancer care continuum. Her research spans several types of cancer, including lung, breast, and colorectal, and also explores the impact of cancer in special populations, such as adolescents and young adults. Her research strives to answer critical questions at the confluence of patients’ needs and clinical priorities.
