Biography
Itxaso Alayo holds a degree in Mathematics and a Master in Statistics and Operations Research.
Since October 2022 she has been part as a senior researcher at the Institute for Health Systems Research, Biosistemak, Basque Country. Within the Institute she is involved of several projects and since June 2024 she is a project manager for the EUCANSCREEN joint action, the objective of which is to assure sustainable implementation of high-quality screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancers, as well as implementation of the recently recommended screening programs – for lung, prostate and gastric cancers.

Biography
Dr. Johannes Berkhof is a statistician with over 20 years' experience in statistical and health economic modelling. He has designed and analysed pragmatic trials and developed statistical disease models for oncological and neurological diseases. Dr. Berkhof has a particular interest in HPV-associated cancers and has published over 100 articles on the impact of HPV vaccination and screening. He has also coordinated the RISCC project, a European Horizon2020 project on risk-based cervical cancer screening. He enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment and knows how to communicate statistical methods effectively.

Biography
Matthew holds a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta in Canada, as well as an undergraduate degree in Pure Mathematics/Computer Science from Memorial University. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Memorial University where he heads the Visual and Analytic Computing Lab. Matthew’s research centres around the aspects of developing digital twin and virtual reality systems, including sensing, simulation/modelling, graphics/visualization and user interfaces, especially displays.

I received my medical training at Grant Medical College, Mumbai University, with a focus on Preventive and Social Medicine, and hold certifications in Cancer Control and Prevention, and Molecular Prevention from the US National Institutes of Health.
Currently Professor & Head, Dept. of Preventive Oncology at Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, Tata Memorial Centre Mumbai, India. Headed the WHO Collaborating Centre for Cancer Prevention, Screening and Early Detection, WHO CC IND-59 [SEARO], between 2016-2022 and was involved with supporting the WHO’s efforts in building research capacity and generating evidence on cost-effectiveness models for prevention and control of cervical, breast and oral.

Biography
Gonzalo Sanchez is a Specialist Physician in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Galdakao Hospital in Spain. He holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the National School of Health (Escuela Nacional de Sanidad) and is currently pursuing his PhD focused on early detection of colorectal cancer at the University of the Basque Country (Universidad del País Vasco).
Additionally, serves as a faculty member at the University of Deusto, where he teaches in the Medical School program.

Biography
Nereo Segnan has made significant contributions to cancer prevention and screening. Since 2003, he has been the principal investigator of several large RCTs, including SCORe, SCORe 2, and SCORe 3, focusing on colorectal cancer screening. He also led the Department of Cancer Screening at Città della Salute e della Scienza University Hospital in Turin from 2008 to 2017. Additionally, he has been involved in European Commission-funded projects on cancer screening quality assurance and health technology assessment. Since 2012, he served as a Senior Visiting Scientist at IARC in Lyon, further advancing global cancer research and prevention strategies.

Adrijana Vujović works in Institute of Public Health Montenegro from 2013. Adrijana is an epidemiologist. She is a member of team in the screening department in the Centre for non communicable disease. She is involved in the managing unit for the roll-out process of national screening programmes throughout the whole country.

Biography
Works as an epidemiologist at the Center for Control and Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases, Department of Screening. Currently on PHD studies .Since the beginning of her employment (2013), she has been dealing with screening programs, which are conducted in Montenegro. (early detection and prevention of colon, breast, cervical cancer). Member of the national working group in charge of designing (the best possible screening model, algorithm, steps applied in Montenegro) and implementing a screening program for early detection of cervical and breast cancer. She is involved in the managing unit for the roll-out process of all three national screening programmes.
