Biography
Dr. Matthew Kearney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania with expertise in program development, implementation, and evaluation in healthcare settings. Dr. Kearney also serves as Associate Director of Penn Medicine's Mixed Methods Research Lab, a service center within Penn Medicine that facilitates a variety of health services research projects. Dr Kearney's scholarship focuses primarily on: 1) developing and evaluating patient-centered programs that enhance health equity, 2) promoting health behavior change through community-driven research, and 3) employing innovative digital and social media tools to assess and improve health outcomes.

Biography
Kate Broun is Head of Screening, Early Detection, and Immunisation at Cancer Council Victoria, with over 25 years of experience advancing cancer screening and prevention through evidence-based approaches. She has led major programs, including PapScreen Victoria (2002–2010) and Australia’s first national bowel screening communications campaign (2019). An expert advisor to the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program communications campaign (2022–2023), Kate has contributed extensively to public health research. Her recent publications in the Health Promotion Journal of Australia (2023), BMJ (2023), and Preventive Medicine (2024) highlight her impact on improving cancer outcomes and promoting equity in screening access.

She currently works as a senior communications advisor for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands. Lisanne is involved in developing communication materials and interventions for the cancer screening programs. She focuses on specific target groups, such as people with low health literacy.

Kelly Bunzeluk is a health leader who turns executive vision into strategy by building coalitions, using systems thinking, and leading change. As the Director of Prevention & Screening at a provincial cancer agency, Kelly oversees clinics at 90 permanent and mobile locations, researches and implements new technologies, trains healthcare providers, and reduces barriers to screening.
When she is not at work, you can find Kelly in her canoe or on the ski hill with her family.

Navkiran K. Shokar, M.D., MPH, is Chair of the Department of Population Health, Associate Dean for Community Affairs at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, and Program Lead of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Livestrong Cancer Institutes. In more than 20 years in academic medicine, Shokar has worked as a clinician, educator and clinical researcher. Her research interests include interventions in cancer prevention and control, shared decision-making, and community-based research to address cancer health disparities among vulnerable and underserved populations.

Biography
Lorella Palazzo, PhD, is a sociologist who specializes in optimizing care delivery and improving access to health services. She has extensive experience in analyzing clinical data and evaluating health care improvement efforts. At Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI), she has used this expertise to assess the progress and results of pilot projects supported by the Group Health Foundation Partnership for Innovation. In these projects, KPWHRI researchers and Kaiser Permanente Washington clinicians work together to test innovative health care improvement ideas. Dr. Palazzo's evaluations have determined how a pilot innovation affected health care costs, care delivery, and patient experiences.
