1. Group leader on Early Detection of Cancer. The group focuses on the implementation and dissemination research on population-based cancer screening programs as well as the evaluation of new strategies on early detection of cancer. Research lines:
Health impact assessment of cancer screening programs: studies on adverse effects and mortality reduction;
Design & implementation of interventions aimed at improving screening programs;
Decision-making in cancer screening
2. Quality Assurance Manager at the ICO screening hub for breast and colorectal cancer (Catalonia, Spain) to assist with the coordination and implementation of quality assurance activites.

Kristin R. Randel MD PhD is head of the Section of colorectal cancer screening at the Cancer Registry of Norway, Norwegian Institute of Public Health, responsible for administration of the national Colorectal cancer screening program. Randel is PI of the Pilot project, a randomized trial comparing biennial fecal immunochemical testing and once only sigmoidoscopy.

Biography
I am a preventive medicine and public health specialist at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO). For the past fifteen years, I have been focused on optimizing information systems to monitor the processes and outcomes of community health programs. In 2019, I joined the Cancer Screening Unit at ICO, where I worked on the implementation and evaluation of population-based cancer screening programs. Currently, I serve as the coordinator of the breast cancer screening program at the ICO screening hub.
